Diary - Eastnor Show (Jun 2007)
|
After months of looking to buy a Land Rover, with out any joy, we went to have a look at a few and see what was available to equip it with. This show was set in the grounds of Eastnor castle, the same location as one of the Land Rover Experience centres. Sponsored by Land Rover World magazine it is a well stocked show with many clubs and companies providing stands. |

The day was very hot and sticky day, which added to the confusion and head-ache that was created from learning, seeing and speaking to so many different people. It seems that going to a show with a blank piece of paper and not a massive knowledge of the ins and outs of a land rover is very tricky. |

The lists of items that are needed to be used for an overland trip are vast. Not only do you have the obvious, large objects, such as tents and tyres, you also have people suggesting the small mechanical items that you can’t remember, never mind point to where it would be installed. Therefore my suggestion is to only concentrate on a few bits and pieces at a time, noting all those other bits of advice on paper for referencing later. |

Unfortunately we didn’t have a vehicle, this came nine days later, so we couldn’t experience the off road facilities. Something we will aim to do at most show’s once we have bought our trusty steed. |
